The overall objective of the project is the integration and coordination of research capacities with the goal of further development of technological platforms in the field of algal biotechnologies. Partial project goals are as follows: (1) To develop new types of cultivation equipment and procedures for a highly productive and economic mass production of microalgae in an autotrophic environment, including processing and fractionation. (2) To develop and use new devices and methods for monitoring microalgae growth. (3) To develop the photosynthesis research process of algae and cyanobacteria. (4) To further develop and apply methodical procedures of heterotrophic fermentation during the production of algae biomass and it's processing including fractionation and isolation of valuable substances for the production of food supplements, fodder and other applications. (5) To train and teach research experts for both the Algatech Centre and important research and applied fields in the Czech Republic. | |||
