Main research interest

Before starting my PhD study, I was focused mainly on the isolation, identification, culture, maintenance and biochemical characterization of microalgae, especially diatoms. Now as a PhD student, I am focused on the development of integrated bio-refinery systems for obtaining valuable compounds from microalgae using High Performance Countercurrent Chromatography (HPCCC).

Scientific expertise

Microalgae biotechnology and bacterial microbiology laboratory tests, isolation of DNA/RNA, optical microscopy, gas chromatography / Mass Spectrometry, High Performance Countercurrent Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography
