Research interest and current research work
My research delves into the molecular mechanisms governing the biogenesis of photosystem II (PSII). Central to my focus is the characterization of previously uncharacterized auxiliary factors involved in the stepwise assembly, cofactor integration, and functional maturation of PSII employing a multidisciplinary approach that combines molecular genetics, structural biology, and proteomics. My research aims to elucidate the precise roles these auxiliary proteins play in coordinating subunit interactions, stabilizing intermediate complexes, and mitigating assembly bottlenecks.
