Kateřina Novotná

KN graduated in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. She worked on her bachelor's thesis at the Algatech Centre under the guidance of Vendula Krynická. Since 2023 she has been working here as a research assistent in the protein laboratory shared by the groups of Josef Komenda and Roman Sobotka. Her professional skills include cultivation of experimental organisms, thylakoid membrane isolation and protein purification, as well as protein separation methods (native and denaturing electrophoresis, Western blot). KN also ensures the supply of consumables and chemicals to the protein laboratory.
