Pavel Hronek

Pavel completed his bachelor studies at the University of South Bohemia in 2023. Since the same year he has been working in Centre Algatech as a bioinformatician. Under the supervision of Vendula Krynická he focuses mainly on analysis of RNA-seq data through R studio to determine what genes are up- and down-regulated under different conditions. This analysis helps to show what genes are affected most and whether they are part of certain clusters with a specific function. Pavel also closely collaborates with Tomasch Jürgen from the Laboratory of anoxygenic phototrophs. Here he participated in creating the network of genes and their clusters based on their interaction levels for several organisms using Cytoscape, and recently he focuses on HiC data for Gemmatimonas and Dinoroseobacter shibae and their contact maps to study chromosome conformation.
